THE SCIENCE BEHIND OUR PRODUCTS

Unlike traditional paving products like asphalt and concrete, ROAD WEAR is designed to create rigid surfaces of great strength, but which also possess the unique characteristic of being flexible with memory.

SCIENCE

THE PRODUCT

LIFETIME AND MAINTENANCE

Maintenance

The cracking, rutting and puncturing that we see with asphalt surfaces are the result of subgrade failures. Because ROAD WEAR is not a "floating" surface,

erosion of the sub-foundation is extremely rare.
ROAD WEAR surfaces will experience increased porosity over time, which should be maintained with topical applications as needed.

If maintenance or repair work is required, such as utility work, our surfaces can easily be sawn and repaired.
Most ROAD WEAR customers evaluate maintenance requirements based on their specific needs.

Lifetime

As with asphalt and concrete, service life depends on design and construction. ROAD WEAR road designs consider the following factors:

• Type/Quality of material and run-of-the-mill â€¢ Specified performance metrics (ie CBR, PSI, SNS, etc.)

• Number of cars and trucks  â€¢ Traffic weight • On-site weather

INTEGRATION PROCEDURE

- When using a cold recycler to embed the product at a precise depth and mix,

only one pass is necessary.
This method gives the best results and more accuracy.
Once the cold recycler has been passed using the programmed application rate, the grader and compactor can go into action immediately.

- Once completed, additional sealing coats will be applied to the surface in a localized manner.

Two to four km per day can be achieved with one machine once the contractor is familiar with the process.

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

Unlike traditional paving products such as asphalt and concrete, ROAD WEAR is concluded to create rigid surfaces of great strength also possessing the characteristic

unique to have a shape memory.

FLEXIBLE SEGMENTS

• Flexible regions • Temperature and pressure change = NO CRACKING

HARD CRYSTALLINE SEGMENTS

• Hard regions • High pressure endurance =HIGH STRENGTH
